A few days backup Vembu has announced the release of Vembu Office 365 & G Suite Backup v2.0 (Beta) which helps your organization to protect the critical user data in Office 365 & G Suite. This solution is very easy to use for anyone and it will protect your office 365 and g Suite, Let’s check what are new features available with this beta release

What’s New 

OnPremise Deployment

From v2.0, Vembu provides On-premise deployment support for Office 365 and G Suite Backup. This allows you to protect the Office 365 & G Suite data by backing up them to local storage.

Vembu on-premise installer for Office 365 Backup & G Suite Backup is available for Windows OS and comes with a 30-day FREE trial.

File Retention

File Retention lets you retain multiple versions of files that are backed up from OneDrive & Google Drive. The default retention count is 5 (i.e, 5 versions of a specific file will be retained) and the maximum retention count can be set up to 99.

OneDrive support for all users

With v2.0, OneDrive backup is support for all the Office 365 users under the domain account. While the previous version supported OneDrive backup only for tenant admins.

Backup Office 365 & G Suite data to local storage  – Download

This solution is very easy to install and configure to backup your office 365 & Gsuite.

Once you download the application, run the application as administrator

It will start extracting the package

Click next to start the installation

Accept the terms and license agreement and Click Next

Choose the setup type and Click Next

Click Install to start the installation

It will take a few minutes to complete

Once the installation is completed, you can start the application and Login with default user name and password (admin /admin)

Once you logged In . it will ask you to set up a time zone and confirm the server name. And later you can configure the backup of office 365 and Gsuite from Backup Tab

From the Management Tab, you can register your server and configure the local storage repository as well.


This a beta release of Vembu Office 365 & G Suite Backup and it is recommended using it in a test environment.
