With v10.4 release of NAKIVO Backup & Replication, three new major features are released

  • Immutable repository
  • Two-factor authentication
  • Instant granular recovery for Nutanix AHV

Immutable Repository

With NAKIVO Backup and Replication v10.4 release now customers can configure an Immutable repository, NAKIVO has integrated immutability for backups and backup copies sent to a Linux-based repository. The immutable repositories will allow setting the immutability flag on the retention settings of a particular backup or copy job.

Two-factor authentication

As we know Compromised credentials are the major reason for data breaches and many attacks like ransomware events. With help of two-factor authentication, you can enable more security to the business-critical systems, including backups. With two-factor authentication, a user has to prove their identity by “two factors.” This includes both a password AND another identification method that is generally a one-time passcode that can be generated by a mobile app or sent via a text message.

Nutanix AHV Instant Granular Recovery

With this new release, now Nutanix customers can use instantly recover files and application objects for the below applications

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Active Directory

This new feature allows performing granular recoveries of application data as needed, greatly reducing the time to recovery. Also with the backups of Nutanix AHV provided, customers can recover immediately to the original VM or a different VM altogether or export the data
