NAS Backup
File shares on NAS systems are a popular way to remotely store large volumes of data. Now, with the new NAS Backup from NAKIVO, you can back up and recover CIFS and NFS network shares, as well as individual folders within the file shares. You can perform backup and backup copy jobs for file shares on NAS devices, Windows machines and Linux file servers with the NFS 3.x, SMB 2.x and SMB 3.x protocols.
What’s New in v10.6?
Microsoft 365 Groups backup: Microsoft 365 Groups offers a convenient and scalable way for a company’s employees and teams to collaborate. With NAKIVO Backup & Replication v10.6, Microsoft 365 groups can now be protected against data loss and downtime. Back up and restore group mailboxes (including mail, files, and OneNote items) and group sites (including document libraries, lists, and subsites) to avoid workflow disruptions.
Hardened AMI: NAKIVO Backup & Replication can be deployed as a pre-configured Amazon Machine Image (AMI) running Ubuntu Server that comes with a ransomware-proof local repository. Backups sent to this repository can be made immutable to modification, deletion, or encryption by ransomware. Immutability lasts for a specified period of time and cannot be lifted even by a root user.
External database support: The internal H2 database used by NAKIVO Backup & Replication can get corrupted or overloaded in certain large environments, causing significant workflow disruption in such infrastructures. Starting from v10.6, you can migrate to an external PostgreSQL database better suited to your environment.
Backup from HPE Nimble storage snapshots: NAKIVO Backup & Replication v10.6 offers a faster and simpler alternative to backup from regular VM snapshots. Create backups of VMware vSphere VMs directly from HPE Nimble storage snapshots to save time and reduce the load on your IT infrastructure.
