VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0 is Generally Available

VMware has announced the General Availability of VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0. With this new release, Cloud Foundation offers to the customers a hybrid cloud platform that now supports native Kubernetes workloads and management, as well as your traditional VM-based workloads. This is release is really provide significant advantages to the VMware customers.

This new release Cloud Foundation 4.0 has the capability to use the latest VMware products which include vSphere 7 with Kubernetes, vSAN 7, NSX-T 3, and vRealize 8.1.  VMware Cloud Builder and SDDC Manager are also integrated to provide Day-0 deployment of your private cloud infrastructure and ongoing provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of the core SDDC stack.

One of the best features is the integration of Kubernetes into the platform through VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and cloud-native services built into vSphere 7.  This integration makes containers first-class citizens of your private cloud alongside traditional VMs.
